Dr. Christopher Wilson joined QRI from Chevron, where he was actively involved in various exploration projects. At Chevron, Chris most recently served as the Lease Sale Coordinator for the deepwater Gulf of Mexico exploration business unit. Prior to that role, Chris performed numerous technical evaluations related to exploration risks associated with particular prospects and he completed several asset valuations that helped determine exploration strategy. Prior to his work at Chevron, Chris focused on structural geology, geomechanical modeling, and reservoir simulation of faulted and fractured reservoirs. His characterization and modeling of a large, fractured carbonate oil and gas field at ConocoPhillips helped determine the placement and direction of horizontal well locations. While at Stanford University, he developed a technique to create discrete fracture network models of fractured outcrops using LiDAR technology.
