Hugo Vargas
Senior Analyst, Reservoir Management
Hugo Vargas has over 40 years of Petroleum Advisory experience. Mr. Vargas has worked for ChevronTexaco, Chevron Overseas Petroleum Inc., and Chevron Oil Company of Spain.
Over the decades his duties ranged from acting team lead in assets evaluation, acquisitions, and integration teams in the roles of sub-surface evaluator and reservoir and petroleum engineering.
He took a central role in the acquisition of Petrolera Argentina San Jorge, its integration to ChevronTexaco and in several studies, to enhance and streamline their assets.
Also, he managed the coordination of all related petroleum engineering projects between operations in South America and the BU offices in San Ramon, California.
