Michael T. Strimenos has over 25 years experience working within Saudi Aramco, where under his governance the company optimized the overall development of sandstone reservoirs using a variety of cutting-edge techniques and technologies. He helped Marjan field triple its production outputs via strategic well placement of horizontal wells. Mr. Strimenos was instrumental in reducing the five-year capital expense program of Berri field by 50% by introducing new completion concepts. He also oversaw an integrated simulation study that reversed previous predictions of severe decline, dramatically reducing drilling time while still maintaining high production levels.
While holding a supervisory reservoir management position with Aramco, he oversaw the management of the world’s largest offshore oilfields, including Safaniya, Marjan, and Zuluf fields.
