With over 40 years of simulation experience, Emmerick (Rick) Joe Pavlas, Jr. is considered an expert in reservoir simulation with strong background in PVT, miscible gas enhanced-oil-recovery and geological characterization for reservoir simulation. He has worked on major projects spanning the globe from Alaska to West Texas and from Jakarta to the Middle East.
Mr. Pavlas was the project lead for the ARCO on Prudhoe Bay miscible gas project. He also was responsible for the reservoir engineering implementations on the PBMGP (the largest miscible gas project in the world today), along with cost sharing initiatives and unitization undertakings. Additionally, he worked for nearly 20 years with Saudi Aramco completing his tenure as a senior consultant for the NOC.
