Dr. Yuanlin Jiang has nearly 10 years of research and industry experience, most recently as a reservoir engineer for BP, where he worked in a deepwater production asset (Holstein field) in the Gulf of Mexico. His responsibilities included reservoir performance analysis, history matching and prediction, reservoir uncertainty assessment, reserve booking support, new well planning support, and depletion scheme evaluation and optimization. While with BP, Dr. Jiang developed downhole temperature analysis technology, and was responsible for temperature analysis for key wells. He participated in daily reservoir surveillance work with pressure transient and temperature analysis. Dr. Jiang also served as a member of BP global reservoir simulation troubleshooting group, and worked on a number of unconventional gas projects in BP. Before joining BP, Dr. Jiang worked as a research assistant at Stanford University, where he was one of the core developers and modelers for Stanford reservoir simulator.
