Patricia E. Carreras

Principal Analyst, Reservoir Simulation

Patricia E. Carreras has more than 20 years of experience as a reservoir engineer. She has worked for QRI since 2010 providing reservoir management and simulation support for PEMEX Cantarell fields. Previously, she worked 17 years for Chevron in Buenos Aires and Houston for both internal operating and technology companies. As a reservoir simulation consultant for Chevron Technology Company, Ms. Carreras defined the preferred development strategy and estimated probabilistic production forecasts for the giant Gulf of Mexico Tahiti field. As a reservoir engineer for the major onshore El Trapial field, she created surveillance, monitoring, and development plans; estimated production forecasts and reserves based on reservoir simulation and classical reservoir engineering; and proposed water injection optimizations. Ms. Carreras has also provided technical support to other Chevron offshore Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, and Angola projects, and to the onshore Saudi Arabia Kuwait Partitioned Neutral Zone projects.
