As QRI’s co-founder and chairman, Mr. Simon K. Hodson has been a key factor in its success. He has focused most of his career on the development of new materials and processes with improved efficiency and environmental profile towards the development of new products. His innovations have led to significant value creation in business ventures.

Mr. Hodson is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of StarStone, LLC, and has served as the Chief Executive Officer of E. Khashoggi Industries, LLC (“EKI”), the developer and licensor of the StarStone technology, since January 2006.  For more than 20 years, EKI has been in the business of developing revolutionary technologies in material science for commodity industries and products.

Mr. Hodson has been a named inventor on over 100 US and over 400 related foreign patents. He has had a 30-year commitment in the reinvention of basic commodities as essential to the sustained growth of society and industries worldwide.  Mr. Hodson has been a guest lecturer at numerous universities and schools on technology development and materials science applications to business.
